Metabolized School

A material study of the LA School architects led the industrial shed at hand to be creatively manipulated. The shed is a sawtooth structure in Culver City that is being transformed into a kindergarten. 

The materials, inspired by Thom Mayne's home in Santa Monica, have created a layered manipulation of the space, creating a cage that manipulates the ground levels as well as the sawtooth in order to create a variety of spaces for the required program.
